Abstract
Abstract
Titanium dioxide (TiO2) three-dimensional (3D) nanostructure has been prepared and doped with vanadium (V) using a solution immersion method. The resultant material exhibited improved performance in the role of the sensing element in resistive-type humidity sensor. The improvement is attributed to the arrangement of the nanorod structure which appears to be more closely packed in the V-doped TiO2 when compared to the undoped TiO2. Another possible reason is due to the increased of defect sites, namely oxygen vacancies of the V-doped sample which enhance the dissociation of the adsorbed water molecules.
