Abstract
Abstract
The article present design, optimal tuning and experimental investigation of a multivariable PID controller intended for variable displacement axial-piston pump. The pump is designed for open circuit hydraulic drive systems. The regulation of the displacement volume of the pump is carried out through a proportional spool valve intended for its model. Unlike classic systems in which the valve receives control electrical signals from an analogue electronic amplifier, in this system the proportional valve receives a control signal generated by a specially developed embedded PID control system. The controller is designed on the base of a model obtained by means of system identification. The set of the controller is performed through an optimization procedure based on a genetic algorithm. Experimental studies were carried out with the designed controller on a laboratory test rig. А comparison between the experimental and simulation results is done.
