This study aims to 1) analyze social innovations in empowering environmentally friendly farmer communities in Karawang Regency. 2) analyze the impact of environmentally friendly farmer communities on social, economic, and ecological aspects. 3) Analyzing the determining factors of program success. This research employs the social innovation analysis method through a combination of qualitative methods complemented by quantitative data, encompassing the fulfillment of community needs, the novelty element as a solution to community problems, the presence of social change, and the enhancement of community capacity. The study is situated in Plawad Village, Karawang Regency, and its findings reveal that social innovation positively impacts social, economic, and environmental dimensions. The program’s success is attributed to the participatory empowerment model, which influences the planning, implementation, execution, monitoring, and evaluation stages. Additionally, the capacity of change agents plays a pivotal role in cultivating community awareness, serving as a catalyst for the sustainability of this environmentally friendly agriculture.
