The evolution of LiDAR and its application in high precision measurement

Abstract

Abstract LiDAR is one of the backbones of the remote sensing methods that acquiring high-density and high-accuracy geo-referenced data about the shape of the Earth and its surface characteristics. This paper elaborated the the evolution of LiDAR technology, the main enterprises and their representative products, by listing the research emphasis and application cases where LiDAR technology is being used nowadays, we can find the characteristics and funtions of LiDAR.the future development of LiDAR will mainly focus on new source of radiation, the integration of multi-sensor system and data fusion, the exploration of new mechanism of LiDAR, some suggestions are also made in domestic development directions of high precision LiDAR system.
