Morphometrical Traits of Ongole Grade Cow in Rembang Regency Based on Different Class of Indonesian National Standard

Abstract

Abstract The objective of this study was to compare morphometrical traits of Ongole grade Cow in Rembang Regency on the different class basis of Indonesian National Standard. The research was done on May to July 2022 in Rembang regencies. Hundred eighty cows of Ongole grade cow in Rembang regency were measured for morphometrical traits. Round-O and measurements sticks was used in this research. Two-way analysis of variance and descriptive statistics were used for statistics analysis. The result of the research showed that chest circumferences, body length, body height, hip height, hip width, chest width, chest depth and head length showed highly significantly different (P<0.01). Head width showed significant different (P<0.05). Ear length and width showed non-significant different (P≥0.05). In conclusion body measurements of Ongole grade cow in Rembang regency can be used as differentiation parameter of class determination.
