Abstract

Abstract This review explores the evolution of predictive risk models in construction, emphasizing the integration of key dimensions—quality, safety, schedule delay, cost overrun, and environmental risk. Synthesizing diverse literature, it highlights findings, methodologies, and implications. From a historical perspective, it outlines criteria and search strategies, addressing limitations. Thematic sections delve into individual risk dimensions, and cross-theme analysis identifies overarching trends. Methodological approaches are scrutinized, challenges and controversies are discussed, and future directions suggest areas for exploration. In conclusion, the paper advances holistic risk management, aiding researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders in construction project risk assessment.
