The article explores the growing trend of climate migration, driven by the increase of people displaced due to climate change, natural disasters, and environmental factors, as reported by the United Nations and the International Organization for Migration. The paper delves into the impact of climate change on migration, highlighting the primary causes and characteristics of climate migration. Furthermore the article discuses the potential for regulating climate migration through international law, emphasizing the urgent need to enhance resilience to the consequences of climate change, particularly in the context of countries’ efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
