Abstract
Abstract
Seven associations of herb-Sphagnum rich-fen communities were identified in the north of European Russia. The identification was done by the topological-ecological method based on dominant species and eco-coenotic groups of species. The associations differ in scope from Northern and Central European syntaxa. East Fennoscandian syntaxa should be construed as Fennoscandian races of associations with wider distribution ranges. A classification of North Eurasian herb-Sphagnum rich-fen communities needs to be developed using a common methodology.
