Abstract

Abstract In the context of continuous population density growth in urban agglomerations and escalating challenges in ensuring sustainable development, there is a need to enhance methods and models of urban planning management to ensure the sustainable development of territories. One of the key issues is the effective management of sustainable development processes in agglomerations, taking into account population growth dynamics, environmental issues, social challenges, and infrastructure needs. The aim of this research is the development and analysis of methods and models of urban planning management aimed at supporting the sustainable development of agglomerations. The research focuses on urban agglomerations as the object of study and methods and models of urban planning management as the subject of study. The study utilizes the analysis and synthesis of existing models of managing urban agglomerations, statistical analysis of population dynamics and infrastructure data, as well as surveys of stakeholders. The author has conducted an analysis of existing methods of managing urban planning processes and developed new models aimed at achieving the sustainable development of agglomerations. The research takes into account various aspects, including housing provision, transportation solutions, environmental impact, and socio-cultural sphere. The study indicates the necessity of an integrated approach to urban planning management that considers the multifaceted nature of sustainable development in agglomerations. The research recommendations include the implementation of innovative technologies, strengthening social partnerships, and ensuring effective infrastructure to secure a sustainable future for urban agglomerations.
