Abstract
This study aims to determine a sustainable North Sumatera rice supply system in terms of rice production. The specification of the most suitable method for forecasting rice production and demand in North Sumatra in 2030 uses linear, quadratic and exponential trend analysis. The results show that the quadratic trend analysis best corresponds to the positive trend of the production and demand forecasts. In conclusion, the increase in production is dueto the continuous increase in demand for rice.
