Abstract
Heavy metals are one of the reasons that cause many diseases in humans. Using an atomic spectrometer, we measured heavy metals (cu, Hg, zn, cd, bp) in blood samples collected from farmers in the districts and districts of Al-Diwaniyah Governorate. The results showed that all samples collected contained concentrations higher than the permissible limit. The main reason for this increase is attributed to contamination of the food chain with insect pests, chemical fertilizers, and wastewater.
