Abstract
Abstract
The publication presents the results of the investigation of a guiding apparatus for vertical cross-flow wind turbine using modern Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The airflow through the guiding apparatus and the turbine’s runner is analyzed. The obtained results are validated on stand №7 in the Laboratory of Hydropower and Hydraulic Tyrbomachinery (HEHT Lab) at Technical University of Sofia. The location of the passive area of the runner that generates negative torque have been found.
