Abstract
PurposeTo provide a concise briefing on a robot hand.Design/methodology/approachThe approach is to present briefly the development and features of a robot hand by the Shadow Robot Company for one of its customers.FindingsFinds that the robot hand replicates the characteristics of a human hand as far as possible, being of a similar size with the same balance of strength and movement.Originality/valueThe paper provides information of value to those interested in developments in the robotics industries.
