Abstract

Reviews the economic development of Sub‐Saharan African countries and discusses investment potential and opportunities in the region. Concludes with recommendations to investors and the governments of the countries in Sub‐Saharan Africa. In assessing development and investment potential of this region, examines and compares economic development data pertaining to the area and matches them with the debt burden these countries carry as they struggle to develop and reform their political systems. Finally, highlights exemplary achievements and problems of note.
