Abstract
THE shear stress distribution in hollow sections subjected to bending and torsion is a subject about which there does not appear to be much information in standard text books, and a knowledge of the theory and its numerical application is becoming important to the aircraft designer in view of the increasing popularity of the stressed‐skin type of construction.
