Green Bonds Emission as a Component of Environment Protection System

Abstract

The subject of the research is the problem of attracting financial resources in order to realize ecological projects including by emitting green bonds. Special attention is paid to the chronology of the events that have facilitated active growth of the segment of the stock market since 2007 up to now. Considered are the issues of terminology for the processes occurring in the framework of sustainable development. Quantitative characteristics of market, green bonds standardizing is also discussed. The purpose of the article is to study the current international market of green bonds and to assess the prospects of green financial instruments development in Russia. It is concluded that optimistic forecasts for the active green bonds market growth in Russia is not justified as apart from the developing the regulating system for this segment of stock market, creating national system of standards and bonds certification, you need a transparent business model that will justify the cost of realization ecological projects, as well as top-priority resolution of social economic problems.
