Abstract

Introduction: The decision-making process of organizational leaders is being affected by the dynamics of the changing environment, which requires the management of useful information from the internal and external environment to understand the market, globalization, and society in general. Objective: The purpose of this work was to review the processes and tools used by organizations in decision-making.Method: A bibliographic review of scientific articles on decision-making available in the Scopus database was carried out. The study was approached from the hermeneutic-interpretative approach, which suggests that academic texts can be analyzed from Analytical Induction. Results: It was shown that the decision-making process allows intelligent decisions based on the use of organizational, human, or technological tools to implement strategies that promote the use of resources in the complex environment in which organizations are immersed. Conclusions: Organizations must evolve along with the constant changes brought by globalization and technologies, especially the large volumes of information available on the Internet and social networks, in addition to artificial intelligence. Innovative solutions to day-to-day problems must be encouraged in the organizational culture so that the work team contributes to the execution of the strategies chosen to solve problems and to make sure that the decisions made by the organizational leaders are the best ones.
