Evaluation of the quality of postgraduate studies in Ecuador, indicator of relevance and effectiveness

Abstract

Postgraduate Higher Education studies constitute an important element in the improvement of professionals and the scientific development of the country due to the levels of specialization and research to be achieved in them. The quality with which postgraduate programs are developed is of significant value in all Institutions. Higher Education in Ecuador since 2023 has an instrument called “Generic model for the evaluation of the learning environment of Graduate Programs” approved by the Higher Education Quality Assurance Council (CACES) that establishes a set of criteria and sub-criteria indicators that allow the assessment of the quality and relevance of the postgraduate studies taught. The research carries out an analysis of the Model. The results show a high level of satisfaction and relevance of the approved Model, which contributes to the evaluation of postgraduate programs and the increase in quality and relevance.Keywords: Postgraduate, professional training, evaluation
