Abstract
This research is based on school coexistence and peace, with the quality of early childhood education as a baseline. It is of descriptive type, the modality of participative action research with a qualitative and quantitative approach, its design is communitarian or ecological, of social intervention or field. The following basic principles were considered: classroom pedagogical project; human rights; integral education; awareness of peace; conceptualization of peace; feelings about peace; acquisition, reinforcement of moral ethical values on peace; development of the culture of peace; proposals for coexistence and peace, as well as attitudes for the peaceful solution of conflict. It was developed in 7 Jurisdictions of the Department of La Guajira taken randomly. The instruments used were direct observation, a survey to teachers and an interview to directors. The implementation of recreational activities that allowed representing magical and pleasant environments was achieved, which allowed coexistence in harmony, fostering dialogues in the construction of peace and teaching values, as well as workshops for teachers and directors, as well as educational talks on the concept of peace, and dynamics with morals and teachings for the achievement of peace in the classroom, in institutions, in society, with the aim of forming people capable of changing inequality for equality, indifference for commitment and violence for peace, concluding that the elementary school should not focus only on the cognitive, but should go beyond, obtaining learning to apply them in life itself and with its environment.
