Abstract
AbstractCompared with traditional metal contact wet mateable connectors, a noninsert wet mateable connector (NWMC) costs much less and is simpler and safer to plug underwater and can operate steadily for a long duration. This article proposes a newly designed NWMC that can
transfer power and data simultaneously in deep-sea conditions. Design and analysis methodology of a small volume and stable output inductive coupling power transfer (ICPT) system that combines calculation, simulation, and measurement methods are proposed. The operating parameters are monitored
in real time through the communication path, and the heat is dissipated through the end cap. According to the experimental results, this system is able to maintain an output voltage of up to 48 V, transfer up to 130 W power, and simultaneously obtain 73 Mbps full-duplex noncontact communication.
