Abstract
Streak photographs of marine animals recorded with a shutterless camera and moving film have furnished information about life deep in the Arctic Ocean. This unexpected occurrence illustrates one of the desirable features of photographic instrumentation. The photographs were obtained
with a nephelometer used at the Arctic drifting ice station, T-3, during 1966 and 1967. The animal has been identified as the marine amphipod. Parathemisto abyssorum, Boek.
