Abstract
AbstractIsolated osteomata of the external auditory canal are benign and often symptomless lesions, and are distinct from the much commoner exostoses. A case is reported in which an osteoma presented as a recurrent ‘aural polyp’ due to a fibroepithelial polypoid reaction in the overlying skin. The polyp and the osteoma were excised surgically. We believe this to be the first reported case to present in this manner.
