Abstract
In the course of examining some material from small mammals collected in Denmark, the British Isles and the Channel Islands, it has become evident that comparatively little is known of the species of Ixodes involved. A recent paper by Visotzkaya (1951) on the biology of the mouse tick, I. trianguliceps Birula, 1895, is the only one of its kind. Unfortunately, this paper is written in Russian and is comparatively inaccessible.
