Abstract

ABSTRACTA new species of the genus Dicranomyia Stephens, 1829 (Diptera: Limoniidae) from Baltic amber is characterised, illustrated and described. This finding represents the second fossil of the subgenus Melanolimonia. The morphological features of the new species and the morphology comparison with its closest fossil relatives are discussed.
