Abstract
1. Nine species of the genus Capillaria, namely C. aerophila, C. annulosa, C. bovis, C. brevipes, C. cholidicola, C. erinacei, C. incrassata, C. kutori and C. plica, are recorded from eight species of mammalian hosts. Measurements and figures are given.2. The taxonomic position of the species C. bovis and C. brevipes from Ovis aries, of C. erinacei from Erinaceus europaeus and of C. incrassata from Talpa europaea is considered in the light of observations made on the material in the collection. The identity of several species resembling C. erinacei is discussed.
