Abstract
When clay granules containing chlorpropham (isopropylm-chlorocarbanilate) were applied to the surface of moist soil, the herbicide gradually moved to the atmosphere as a vapor and little entered the soil. Chlorpropham killed seedlings of field dodder (Cuascuta campestrisYunck.) and largeseed dodder (C. indecoraChoisy) effectively whether it contacted them in the soil or in the air above the soil.
