Abstract
SUMMARYResults of a co-ordinated trial carried out at 19 centres and involving 632 growing pigs indicated that the performance of pigs receiving diets supplemented with copper sulphate, at 250 mg Cu/kg diet, can be improved by the addition to the diet of 10 mg/kg of ‘Payzone’ or 50, reducing to 20 mg/kg, of ‘Grofas’. Zinc bacitracin, 50 mg/kg diet, was not effective. There were no marked effects on carcass quality.
