Abstract
AbstractOver the last few years, the pharmaceutical industry has financed an increasing number of health economic evaluations. The purpose of this article is to describe how and why the pharmaceutical industry is applying health economic evaluations. Seven different fields of application are identified, and the varying reasons for use are discussed.
