Abstract

ABSTRACTThe development ofSchistosoma margrebowieiin hamsters, mice and gerbils has been studied following infection by cercariae obtained from laboratory-infectedBulinus natalensis. The rate is compared with that of other schistosome spp. and found to be very fast.In vitrodevelopment was slower and did not proceed beyond the closed-gut stage.
