Abstract
ISSUE:Standards for thepracticeof medicine are increasingly being confused with standards for thesaleandreimbursementof medicines. Authority for prescribing of psychotropic drugs, whether on-label or off-label, is determined by the standard of medical care set by practitioners, not by regulators of the pharmaceutical industry.
