Abstract

AbstractPorpidia hypostictica is described as a new species; it has a white to grey-white thallus with yellow, oxidized patches near the margin, and contains hypostictic acid as the only major compound. A phylogenetic analysis is provided which is based on ITS sequences using ML and Bayesian analyses. The phylogeny supported the separation of the new species from other species. A key to all known Chinese Porpidia species is provided.
