Abstract
AbstractThis paper discusses the main outcomes of the International School for Young Astronomers (ISYA), an IAU programme developed since 1967 under the auspices of Commission 46 Astronomy Education & Development, at present Commission C1. An assessment of the impact of the ISYA is given from various surveys and communications with the participants and organizers of the past ISYAs.
