Abstract
AbstractBackground:Ultrasound-guided wire localisation is a technique that is well established in breast surgery, but is not well described in head and neck practice. It can be used to locate impalpable lesions for surgical removal, without the need for more extensive surgery.Method:This paper describes a case where the technique was used to assist in the removal of an impalpable but radiologically abnormal lymph node. Conclusion:The technique offers a safe and effective method for removing lesions within the head and neck.
