Abstract
Dr. Rex Leibl (Moderator, University of Illinois): Herbicide resistance is not new or limited to one particular compound or chemistry. Recently, there have been significant developments in this area that should increase our awareness of herbicide resistance and add to its urgency and also add to the timeliness of this topic … for this workshop. I'm referring to … the recent discovery of sulfonylurea-resistant weeds in Kansas, Colorado, and Idaho. Our goal for this workshop is to develop a strategy for controlling and avoiding herbicide-resistant weeds by tapping into the expertise and experience of the people in this room.
