Abstract
AbstractWe summarize the results of stellar evolution theory obtained over the past three decades and highlight the points of disagreement with the present-day observational information. Arguments are given to favour stellar models in which the classical treatment of convection and mixing is abandoned and more complex schemes are adopted.
