Abstract

The paper demonstrates relationship between morphological characteristics of articular cartilage and its functional properties in osteoarthritis. An automated analysis of the sections of the rat articular cartilage has revealed these mutual dependences. An algorithm for assessing the functional properties of cartilage by certain characteristics of its tissue in a natural full-color reconstruction is proposed.
