Abstract
Following a request from a Brazilian multisport club, a group of researchers proposed a collaborative initiative to develop the coaches. Both coaches and administrators said they were delighted with the new perspective and learning opportunities. However, a year later, the innovative activities proposed, co-developed, and put into practice were no longer present. What happened? The purpose of this best practice article is to revisit a 24-month collaborative initiative between researchers and practitioners to develop coaches in a multisport club. To do so, learning organization frameworks have been used to explore the learning and change/transformation processes in this organization. The article is divided into five parts: the characteristics of the multisport club; the conceptualization of learning organization; the learning organization frameworks selected; the main findings from our revisit of the project; and our reflections regarding the learning happening, or not, at the individual, group, and organizational levels.
