FEATURES OF THE USE OF AR TECHNOLOGIES IN THE FURNITURE BUSINESS

Abstract

Digitalization has become the main catalyst for the development of all sectors of the economy of developed countries. The rapid growth of social networks has allowed the manufacturer to contact its consumer without intermediaries represented by large retailers. Internet commerce development trends consider AR and VR technologies as the most promising. In the Russian Federation, the AR/VR market, according to experts, by 2023 may increase by 11.7 times with an average annual growth rate of 85%. As a result of the analysis, the main problems of the AR market focused on the furniture segment were identified: determining the factors influencing the purchase of furniture using AR technology; features of the tools used; creation of a specialized work algorithm, as well as evaluation criteria. Based on the analysis of foreign and domestic applications using AR technologies, the author corrected the previously developed factors affecting purchases in online stores and added new ones as a result of the study. An algorithm for the operation of a furniture application using AR technologies has been developed. The stages of implementation of the author's algorithm were given, indicating the options for the software used. Variants of technical devices for the implementation of software solutions are proposed. A groundwork has been left for further research with subsequent testing at retail outlets of furniture organizations such as Angstrem, Somovo-Mebel, Furniture of the Chernozem Region, Lazurit, Stolplit.
