CAE SIMULATION OF THE FORMATION OF FINNED STRUCTURES PRODUCED BY THE DEFORMATIONAL CUTTING METHOD

Abstract

Presented comparative analysis of the finite element simulation of the process and the results of deformational cutting when obtaining fins on the planes. A comparison is made of the accuracy of the geometric parameters of the macrorelief obtained by processing by deformational cutting in the engineering programs DEFORM-3D, AdvantEdge and QForm. The simulation results were compared with the actually obtained fins and the analyti-cal dependences of the calculation of their ge-ometric parameters. The features of using the considered programs for predicting the pa-rameters of the macrorelief in the form of rib-bing for its use in devices of various functional purposes are described.
