Abstract
This study investigated the extent of body involvement in 25 schizophrenic, 25 paraplegic, and 25 normal subjects by means of the Secord Homonym Test (SHT). The results indicated that, although paraplegics are indeed more body involved, schizophrenics are not. These findings cast doubt
upon the assumed isomorphism between ego and body boundary and upon the assumption of disturbed body imagery in schizophrenics.
