Abstract
SUMMARY
The thyroid glands of infantile rats cultivated in vitro for up to 2 months retain their capacity to concentrate radioactive iodine selectively. It is established autoradiographically that the 131I taken up by the cultivated gland is localized both in the epithelial cells and colloid of healthy thyroid follicles.
