Abstract
SUMMARY
A method in which protein-bound and unbound progesterone are separated by filtering the sample through filters of cellulose esters is described. Because of a complete and almost instantaneous separation which is not influenced by pH, temperature and presence of cations or anions, the method lends itself for use in studies on progesterone binding in blood and in cytoplasmic fractions.
