Abstract
SUMMARY
The effects of gonadectomy on the urinary excretion of gonadotrophins were studied in male and female sheep.
(1) The most striking effect in both sexes of bilateral gonadectomy was a rapid and marked increase in the excretion of FSH.
(2) The results of unilateral gonadectomy were inconclusive.
(3) With one exception, the absolute and relative changes in the rates of excretion of FSH were greater in male than in female sheep.
