Abstract
SUMMARY
It has been confirmed that adrenalectomy protects the rat against the hepatotoxic action of thioacetamide. This protective effect may be reversed by hydrocortisone injections and it is concluded that the removal of the adrenal cortex rather than the absence of the medulla plays the major role in this protective action.
