Abstract
SUMMARY
A simple method for the preparation of human growth hormone using chromatography on diethylaminoethyl-cellulose is described. Material prepared in this way, when assayed by growth of the tibial epiphysial cartilage in hypophysectomized rats, is at least as active as material prepared by published methods and is obtained in high yield. The only other anterior pituitary hormone activity present in any concentration is prolactin.
