LEVANTAMENTO BIOGEOGRÁFICO DE MOLUSCOS NO ESTADO DE SANTA CATARINA, SC, REGIÃO SUL DO BRASIL, VERTENTE ATLÂNTICA DO CONE MERIDIONAL DA AMÉRICA DO SUL

Abstract

Síntese de projeto biogeográfico que completa 12 anos de exaustivo trabalho de pesquisa regional visando o levantamento integral de malacofauna marinha, terrícola e de água doce ocorrente no Estado de Santa Catarina, SC, região Sul do Brasil, apresentando razoável balanço com total de 766 espécies e subespécies confirmadas, envolvendo importantes abordagens nos terrenos da taxonomia e a ecologia, assim como exaustiva análise da produção histórica referencial regional gerada ao largo de 59 anos de produção bibliográfica, além de comparar os resultados previamente obtidos no terreno quanto ao número de espécies terrícolas e de água doce conhecidas para os restantes Estados da região Sul do Brasil (RS e PR) e os vizinhos países do Uruguai e a Argentina, geograficamente integrantes no seu conjunto da Vertente Atlântica do Cone Meridional da América do Sul. Synthesis of biogeographical project that completes 12 years of exhaustive work of regional research seeking the integral rising of marine, terrestrial and freshwater mollusks ocurrence in the Santa Catarina's State, SC, Brazilian Southern region, presenting reasonable swinging with total of 766 species and confirmed subspecieses, involving important comments in the lands of the taxonomy and ecology, as well as exhaustive analysis of the regional bibliographical historical production generated to the 59 year-old plaza, besides to compare the results previously obtained in the land with relationship to the number of terrestrial and freshwater species acquaintances for remaining States of the brazilian Southern region (RS and PR) and the neighboring countries of Uruguay and Argentina, geographically integral in its group of the Atlantic Slope of the Southern Cone of South America.
