Abstract
The poetic heritage of V.G. Rudelev, a famous Russian linguist, doctor of philological sciences, professor of Derzhavin Tambov State University, is analyzed. It is proved that in V.G. Rudelev’s poetry metaphorical models connected with comprehension of the world’s precedent phenomena of culture are of special importance. At the same time, cultural phenomena acquire the poet’s most unexpected conjugations with lyrical plots, which gives poetic imagery a deep semantic perspective. The result is a blurring of the line between household and ontological, between different historical epochs and different cultural experiences. The analysis is made on the example of the poems “Dandelion” and “Flight of the Golden Dragonfly in the Poet’s Garden”, in which the conceptual core is presented by a set of metaphors that encode the notion of “life” in different ways: life – struggle; life – game; life – serving an idea; life – creativity; life – flight (risk). In poetic discourse, these metaphors resonate with the reader’s long and rich cultural experience, which many times multiplies their implicit energy capacity and gives the artistic imaginary a spe-cial semantic perspective. We come to the conclusion about the decisive role of metaphorical models in the representation of the author’s world picture and the formation of the artist’s original idiostyle.
