Abstract
Abstract
This review paper provides a comprehensive overview of the recent advances in garnet ferrites, a class of complex magnetic oxides with promising properties for various applications. The paper covers the crystal structure and different properties of garnet ferrites as well as their synthesis methods, including sol-gel auto-combustion, low-temperature liquid phase epitaxy, pulsed laser deposition, coprecipitation method, sol-gel, hydrothermal, ball billing method, and low-temperature solid-state reactions. The functional properties of garnet ferrites, such as permeability, hysteresis loop, loss mechanics, and saturation magnetization, are also discussed in detail, along with their potential applications in microwave devices, antennas, Faraday lasers, and cancer treatment. Finally, the challenges and future directions for the development of garnet ferrites are outlined, highlighting the need for further research to optimize their properties and improve their performance in real-world applications.
