Abstract
As a coastal state of Louisiana in United States, is a verge of many environmental disasters such as floods, typhoons and hurricanes throughout its history. These disasters, had the potential to cause property damage, personal injury and even death. They also caused great economic damage. The development and follow-up of sustainable policies after disasters has gained importance in order to recover after the devastating effects of disasters.
In this study, the laws enacted by the Louisiana State will be examined within the framework of the concept of "sustainability" and the laws have been analyzed. The search page on the Louisiana State Legislature website will be used. The concept will also be examined in terms of post-disaster recovery policies. For this, the concept of sustainability in the laws will be evaluated together such as disaster, hurricane, typhoon, earthquake, flood, housing, environment and climate. The contents of the returned results of laws will be included to the working text. This study aims to determine the content of sustainability concept and in what ways it is involed in the Louisiana State Legislature.
