Thoughts about the insurance fraud and money laundering in Hungary

Abstract

In Hungary, the fight against insurance fraud can be considered relatively effective. Insurance fraud is a form of fraud in our country, it is not mentioned separately in the criminal law. Insurance secrecy is regulated within the crime of breach of economic secrecy. This study examines the types of insurance fraud, how to combat it by increasing the protection of insurance secrecy, and what connections can be observed between money laundering and insurance fraud.
